Karen makes little macaroni angels as a fundraiser for thirteen men in a group home. She has been helping with providing for these men for the past twenty-seven years.

Kristine Drummond

Acrylic ⋅ Alcohol Ink ⋅ Resin ⋅ Mixed Media

Painting in acrylic allows Kristine the freedom to create each of her pieces with a flow of energy through her brush and onto the canvas, building up through layers and layers of paint that creates a depth of colour and images that hopefully evoke emotion within the viewer. She paints intuitively and all of her art evolves through each of these layers which has taught her to trust in the process until the piece is complete. Every piece she creates is created with the energy of love.

Lyndell Oldfield

Acrylic

For over thirty years Lyndell Oldfield supported adults with intellectual disabilities to engage in creative expression. In the past several years she has spent more time developing her own art practice. Using mainly acrylics on canvas or wood, she is drawn to interpret the scenery and experiences of our beautiful area.

Patricia Beecham

Watercolour

After spending 37 years as a microbiologist/teacher in Etobicoke, Pat decided, upon retirement, to explore her artistic side. At the urging of some friends, she enrolled in a basic water colour class in the fall of 1998, and since then has continuously studied in Mississauga and Orillia. She takes much of her inspiration from her West Coast background, exploring lighthouses, seas, skies and coastal landscapes. Among her other favourite topics are florals, Ontario landscapes and animals (especially cats).

Renata Mcginn

Acrylic ⋅ Charcoal

Renata focuses on integrating topics of science and her battle with mental illness into her contemporary abstract paintings. Ideas for some of her paintings come from her interest in looking at matter, materials, though process and words as expressive dynamo. She represents the complexity of the mind and how some thoughts can be invading while others can be positive and encouraging through the use of text and abstract expression.
